I'm currently watching Kevin Rudd on the ABC for Sorry Day. I have so much regret for what has been done to the Aboriginals in the name of protection and in the name of 'making them safe'. It was still happening when I was born and I can't imagine how I would have coped had I been taken from my family. It is truly a dreadful period in history.
I truly wish I was there, in the Great Hall at Parliament House, to share the emotion and to share the experience. I can't so I will just have watch it on TV and write this. I'll also shed some tears for those whose lives were ripped apart and for those who can now move on in their lives.
I look forward to the time when all peoples will live in peace and harmony and not even consider perpetrating such dreadful harm to one another. _________________ See my website @ http://www.suzs-space.com
